Ma Ma Hao

Here is a song (click to play) that we were recommended to learn to calm the baby down.  It is a very common lullaby in China that everyone knows.    The concern is that if Dino and I attempt to sing it to the child she may be scarred for life.

Here is a translation:

In all the world only Mama is good.

With a mama, you are like a treasure.

Jump into mama’s arms and

You have endless happiness.

It is distressing without a mama.

Without a mama you are like a piece of grass.

Away from mama's embrace,

Where will you find happiness?

You don’t know me but I found your blog from chinaadoptionsites.blogspot.com. Congratulations on your travel plans! Which agency are you with?

I live in China (but am currently emailing you from Spokane, WA) and have developed www.chineseforparents.com for families who are getting ready to travel. You are probably frantically getting ready to go, but you may find the program very interesting. The program actually has a video recording of a Chinese teacher teaching the "Mama hao" song.

Email me if you have questions.
Sincerely,
Grant Pemberton
