Now I feel like toning my earlier remarks down regarding our hospital experience, but I can't edit my post because Blogspot is a blocked site here...
The tip I provided in my previous post was to "never get sick in China". I would like to change that to: Never get sick in China unless you speak Chinese! The real problem was that we did not really understand what was going on. In the end, the prescribed medicine worked, the diagnosis seemed accurate, and the baby was fine.
The style is certainly different that what we are used to, but considering how many people there are, and how poor the province is, the result was a good one.
