Hi guys! So glad all is going well for the 3 of you! Yep, Cox-sackney is one of those virus that runs rampant even in the US in preschools/daycare centers...otehrwise known as hand, foot and mouth virus. Gabrielle had it when she was 1 1/2...and she was miserable. symptoms were so bad we ended up taking her to the ER as we were visiting my sister in Philly. They misdiagnosed it as an ear infection (?) . When I returned home there was a message on our answering machine from the day care provider saying that several of the other kids had this and to look out for it...there is really no medication since it is a virus but G had sores all on the inside of her mouth and that's why she wouldn't eat anything...it hurt. Turned out ice cream and yogurt were ok....go figure! Now we know! Keep the posts coming! Congrats! Love, Darcy in Bangkok
PS I don't think it comes from feces...just sharing spit/toys like babies do!
