Here is Dino holding Hong Mei on the way home from the Civil Affairs office. In his hand he has the mesmerising toy given by her foster mother. Notice that the poor thing peed all over his left side! We changed her diaper back at the hotel and realised that her diaper was an oblong cloth tied on with a bungee cord.
After meeting her we did paperwork, had an official family photo taken (the one with a red background), went to Walmart for real diapers and mystery baby formula (Chinese Walmart is something unbelievable - pity I didn't take photos!) and then we went home for some rest. Hong Mei had a blast eating sweet fish cakes from Walmart and talking to my mom on Skype video. They even played virtual patty-cake with each other.
